Glowing Scorpion Search Under a Full Moon

Join us on Mount Lowe, 5000 ft above Los Angeles, to search for luminescent scorpions under the full moonlight. Guided by Allison Ayad - local chercheuse of luminescent scorpions.

We will start the evening with a slow and gentle 3 mile hike to the top of Mount Lowe, where we will enjoy an intimate gongfu tea ceremony. Sunset is at 6:11 pm. Afterwards, we will leisurely return to the start of the hike, while looking for glowing scorpions in the full moonlight.

Requirements:

• long pants and socks for itchy plant protections
• a flashlight or headlamp
• layers for an evening chill
• a UV light (if you have one, if not, multiple will be provided)
